ABOUT 

Leo Gilbert is a filmmaker born and raised in Chicago, IL.  

At the age of 12, Leo realized that his life-long dream of becoming a NBA All-Star was not going to pan out. So, he decided to career pivot.

He graduated NYU Tisch School of the Arts as a film major. While there, his thesis film "Journeyman" was a King Award Winner (3rd place, but still not bad). He also studied abroad in Cuba before it was cool. 

After school, he worked on few movies, a couple of Dick Wolf TV shows, worked on a cool doc... If you're interested  you can check out his resume here. 

And of course, in 2017 he established his new venture (together with Becky Schultz), Average Movies.
